About Rod Jones
I've been an SLR photographer for 50 years. I switched to digital around 20 years ago starting with a great little point-and-shoot from Olympus and then via a procession of dSLRs, to my current Lumix FZ1000-2 which IMHO runs rings around all previous lens/body combinations! I tend to mostly take landscapes, buildings and weather, but I'm always on the lookout for unusual or humorous shots. I'm a big fan of Adobe Photoshop for maximising the potential of a shot, and sometimes enjoy getting 'creative', but mostly using techniques of my own, rather than the 'off the peg' Photoshop filters.

Thanks Wayne. It was a great road trip! My memory of this day was driving all day through this staggering wilderness, watching the fuel gauge heading towards zero. We reached Warm Springs where my road atlas said there was a filling station, but it was closed down. We eventually made it to Tonopah after 40-odd miles of running on fumes!

Rod, a great image of what looks to be a great road trip. Glad your description tells where, interesting indeed. Voted.
